Care & Safety
Read this guide before every use. For adults 18+ only. Hot water and steam can scald, and an optional tealight is an open flame. Just add hot (not boiling) water; a tealight only keeps it warm for longer. Keep the entire set away from children and pets during use, cooling, and storage.
Choose a safe place
- Place the set on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from edges, curtains, paper, and other flammable materials.
- If you use a tealight, use it only where open flames are permitted. Keep the candle in sight and never leave it unattended.
- Check the ceramic, glass, and other components before use. Do not use the set if any part is cracked, chipped, or damaged.
Water and filling
- Use plain warm water only. Do not add essential oils, fragrances, other additives, or medications.
- Never use boiling water straight off the boil. Let freshly boiled water cool for a few minutes and only fill when it is warm, not boiling.
- Fill only to the marked or indicated level below the side spout. Do not overfill.
- Never tilt or carry the set while the candle is lit or while the vessel contains hot water.
Candle safety
- If you choose the optional warmer, use only standard tealight candles, one at a time, in the warmer base.
- If you use a tealight, fit the stopper and glass mouthpiece before lighting. Light the tealight in the base, then set the vessel on top using the handle.
- Use the included tweezers to handle the tealight. Tweezers do not make a hot candle safe to move: extinguish it and let everything cool fully first.
- Never leave a lit candle unattended, including during a short break.
- Extinguish the candle before moving or refilling the set. Let all parts cool fully before handling, moving, refilling, or cleaning.
During your ritual
- Ceramic and glass can get hot. Use the vessel’s handle when positioning it; avoid touching hot surfaces or the glass mouthpiece.
- Keep your face a comfortable distance from the mouthpiece. Inhale gently; do not press your lips against hot glass or force deep breaths.
- Take slow, gentle breaths for 5–10 minutes as part of your routine. Stop immediately if you feel uncomfortable.
- Do not tilt the vessel toward your face. Keep the assembled set upright on its surface.
- If you use a tealight, extinguish it when your session ends. A tealight’s burn time is not a suggested session length.
Cleaning and care
If you use a tealight, extinguish it. Let the water, ceramic, glass, stopper, base, and tealight cool fully. Empty the vessel only once cool. Gently remove the stopper and glass tube; handle the glass carefully.
Hand wash the vessel, base, glass mouthpiece, and rubber stopper with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely before reassembling or storing. Hand wash only: the set is not dishwasher safe or microwave safe. Do not put any part on a stove or in an oven.
Store clean, dry components securely, away from children and pets. Inspect them again before the next use. If you find damage or have a question about the set, contact us before using it.
